The Masai Diver
Frank D Mollel is the front runner for the project LindaBahari. Orginally from Arusha, Frank came to Zanzibar decades ago as a novice and build his way up to PADI Staff Instructor through years of dedication. He became known as the First Masai Diver on Zanzibar.
Frank was always a familiar smiling face at Mnemba Atoll, Muyuni Beach and Matemwe area in general. Though from having dived the reefs for so many years, Frank saw the change in the coral reefs and the decline of the marine life in general surrounding Zanzibar waters. Frank has always been verbal about marine conservation and waste management to the local community and all divers, who were lucky to go diving with him.
Realizing that more then just conversation about marine conservation needed to happen he initiated the project LindaBahari and is now dedicating his time to teach and empower the youth of the local community in Matemwe about marine conservations, coral restoration, waste management and sustainable enviromental habbits.
